Casa Balestra 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, 6 Sleeps

The stone arches that you notice when you enter the house, the high vaulted ceiling and the beautiful view of the marina are the first things you notice when you enter Casa Balestra. This residence was built in 1860 and was part of a larger building owned by my grandfather.  When I was a young girl, the highlight of my summer was to spend my vacation at grandpa’s house by the beach.

The ground floor of the house used to be a warehouse where grandpa used to store grains, wine barrels and olive oil from his land. When my mother inherited her part of the house, she renovated it completely, including a wooden staircase connecting the two floors. 

The ground floor includes a large living room area with a window overlooking the marina; a kitchen with a family area has everything you need to cook your daily meals. A complete bathroom with shower is also on this floor. The second floor, accessible through a wooden staircase, includes two very spacious bedrooms and a smaller one, plus the second complete bathroom with bathtub/shower combination. All three bedrooms have access to a balcony. One has a balcony on the street side; the other two have access to the balcony overlooking the marina where you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets while you sip a glass of the good local wine.
